i-man Pty. Ltd. is a leading supplier of web based & mobile management solutions in Australia and New Zealand. Located in Ringwood, Victoria, i-man was founded in 2001 by Guy Arrowsmith, combining his 14 years experience in the electrical industry and 5 years experience as a web developer to build a suite of products that are easy to use and provide unparalleled benefits to companies who manage a mobile workforce.

Core Personnel

Behind i-man’s success is a core of personnel who excel in their roles within the company.

Guy Arrowsmith MD of I-Man, is a solutions kind of man. With a background on the tools as an electrician, Guy became increasing aware of the lack of technological solutions in the trade. Suffering an accident on the job, Guy needed a change in direction and commenced study in business and software development.

It was the perfect breeding ground for his hand on experience to be teamed with real life solutions. As part of his curriculum, Guy devised a basic software application to manage job control and tracking. Approaching his original employer, Kilpatrick and Green, Guy developed the first prototype of IMS and he could see that the product had a large potential in service-based industry.

I-Man was established in 2001 and the first version of IMS was implemented for trial and testing in the electrical industry soon after.

Guy could see that the success of IMS relied upon its uniqueness from its competition. Designing an easy to use interface targeted to trade use, ensured that take up among customers was a positive experience. Utilising the web as a platform for interaction, IMS allowed information to be updated instantly. These two factors differentiated IMS from its competition and ensured I-Man a place as an innovator among trade management applications.

Guy’s early background was in the electrical contracting industry in Victoria gaining experience in supervising, planning and estimating. In the late 90’s Guy made a career change after completing his studies in software development and began work developing and maintaining intranet applications before moving on to managing and developing online procurement applications.

Guy founded i-man in 2001 and has grown it into a stable business with strong growth. In the early day’s Guy performed all tasks from development through to customer service and sales but now focuses on marketing and business development, using his knowledge of the system and the services industry to deliver the best solutions to customers.

Carl joined i-man in early 2008, his development skills, eye for detail and application to a task, quickly brought a new dimension to i-man’s product development. He now manages all major product enhancements, introduction of new technology and is a major contributor in improving our development processes ensuring i-man continues to improve our product.

Bradley joined i-man in July 2008, using his technical background and customer service skills he has set up processes and procedures that have significantly improved service delivery to our customers. This has markedly reduced the time it takes for our customers to implement IMS through better documentation, training and resolutions of issues, ensuring our customers get the most from our product.

Lisa has been a major part of the team from the start, her administration background in the banking industry has helped us develop our back office processes to ensure we operate as efficiently as possible.
