As a fully qualified electrician and working in the field for over 10 years, Guy Arrowsmith, Director of I-Man, knows the short falls of managing a service based business. The endeavour to find a technology based solution led Guy to further his studies. Undertaking a certificate of Business and Software development, Guy combined his practical experience with innovative technological solutions. The outcome of this collaboration of study and hands on experience was the first proto type of the IMS product.

As a prototype, IMS was built as a traditional software application and rolled out to a test group of trusted cliental. Managing their job control and tracking, Guy’s clients were impressed with the prototype and wanted to implement a fully functional system.

Guy established I-Man in 2001, to develop IMS further and the first version of the IMS program was released to the service based market soon after. The take up of the product was very encouraging and the feedback assisted the I-Man team to further build IMS to make job management and tracking even easier.

Since then, the I-Man team have continued to customise the IMS product, keeping up to date with market trends. One of the biggest shifts for IMS was changing from a software based application, to utilising the internet as the platform for information exchange. The benefits for I-Man clients have been significant. IMS online ensures 24/7 access to clients business information anywhere, anytime. Updates are made instantaneously, and data is secure from hardware theft or damage.

IMS is constantly analysed and updated to ensure it remains the leading technological solution in the service based industry.

Director Bio:

Guy Arrowsmith is a fully trained electrician and spent more than ten years on the tools. Having gained valuable practical experience and understating of the service based industry, he applied to undertake a Certificate of Business and Software Development. Completing his qualification in 1998, Guy was employed within the education sector to develop and implement software applications. Creating a fully integrated management system for his employer, lead Guy to further enquire into the need for technological based solutions for the service based industry.

Since then, Guy has successfully built a national software business that provides solutions for some of Australia’s most significant service based businesses. On a daily basis, he assists businesses to implement IMS ensuring an efficient and fast transition to an online management system.

Who’s Who of I-Man

The I-Man head office is based in Ringwood in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. Employing a specialised team of staff with Guy Arrowsmith at the helm, I-Man ensures that clients receive a high level of customised care.

Bradley Bristow Stagg is the I-Man Technical Support Manager and ensures the implementation of IMS is made easy for clients with his step-by-step approach. His role includes the management of I-Man’s portfolio of clients and maintaining communications between the parties. Advising on new implementations and design features for IMS, Bradley also manages staff training.

Development Manager Carl Stocker maintains the IMS program by adding customisations, upgrades and enhancements. Keeping up to date with new technological advancements and processes, Carl ensures that IMS remains at all times a high performance management tool.

Director Guy Arrowsmith advises on the development of the IMS product. Aware of industry standards and changes, Guy ensures that IMS meets the needs as they arise. Guy’s primary role is sales and marketing; guiding customers through the benefits of IMS for their business.

The team at I-Man also includes administration staff to ensure the smooth running of the daily processes of accounting and business management. Utilising the IMS system in-house ensures that I-Man get a firsthand experience of the product. The business management team are an excellent resource for the development staff to track, trial and implement new ideas for IMS.
